MARKET PROFILE
Since its first recorded history in 1877, Billings has become the largest city center in a four state area. The city has enjoyed an incredible growth rate, supported by a number of various economies including: energy (oil, natural gas, coal), agriculture (wheat, barley, corn, sugar beets, beef, dairy cattle), and transportation. These commercial interests have in turn supported Billings as a center for education, medical facilities and cultural activities.
With four different mountain ranges right in view and the many recreational activities that are accessible, Billings acts as a crossroads for quite a number of tourists and outdoor enthusiasts. Due to its unique, the city is a major business and shopping center as well.
Billings is home of the Alberta Bair Theater (the largest performing arts theater between Minneapolis, MN and Spokane, WA) as well as the MetraPark, which is the largest event center in the state of Montana.
Currently, Billings continues to grow in all aspects and directions including its residential and business districts. With such assets, and rapid growth the city has established itself as a major urban center of the Northwest region.
